Aims and Scope
The workshop on Topological Methods in Data Analysis aims to bring together researchers and students interested in exploring and discussing recent advances, challenges and applications of topological methods in the analysis of complex data. In addition to showing recent achievements and discussing future research perspectives, the workshop is expected to establish and tighten academic collaboration on topics of common interest of its participants.

9:45–10:15 – Justyna Signerska-Rynkowska: Topological analysis of conjugacy of dynamical systems based on time series

11:00–11:30 – Maciej Torhan: Breathing pattern detection using persistent homology
11:30–12:00 – Adrian Stolarek, Wojciech Jaworek: Topological data analysis combined with convolutional neural networks for image recognition
12:00–12:30 – Michał Palczewski: Inducing a map on homology from a correspondence. A generalization to persistent homology

11:00–11:30 – Tomasz Kaczynski: Multifiltrations and combinatorial vector fields
11:30–12:30 – Discussion in a smaller group: Applications of topolgical methods to the analysis of biomedical time series data

14:00–15:00 – Discussion in a smaller group: Detection of geometric and topological structures in point cloud data using multifiltrations of vector fields
